  • SSN – Submersible Ship Nuclear
  • BB – Battleship
  • Battle “E” – Battle Efficiency Award
  • ISR – Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance
  • Knot – 1 nautical mile/hour
  • Nautical mile – 2000 yards or 6000 feet
  • SECNAV – Secretary of the Navy
  • MOF – Module Outfitting Facility
  • GDEB – General Dynamics Electric Boat
  • NNGN – Northrop Grumman Newport News
  • Beam – Diameter
  • Draft – Depth of water to keel
  • AMR – Auxiliary Machinery Room
  • CCSM – Command & Control System Module
  • UUV – Unmanned Undersea Vehicle
  • ASDS – Advanced SEAL Delivery System
  • CO – Commanding Officer
  • PCO – Prospective Commanding Officer
